A BIT MORE ABOUT ME

Like there would be any need to say anything more about myself........

however I have a couple of stories about me that may have you smile.

When I was at high school in Verona (IT) I attended the scientific Liceo that says what the main focus of the studies done in that school is in advanced math, chemistry and physics, this school however gives classes in foreign language, Catholicism, history and Italian literature. What's pretty funny is that my foreign language was German that I had chosen because of the very high quality of the teachers of all the other classes (subjects), whenever my mother would go to the "meet the teachers" sessions for the parents, she was told by my professor of German (a true German) that I spoke German with a true German accent.

This surprised my mother very much because I was taking after-school classes of English at the Cambridge school in downtown twice a week.

What's really funny about this is that whenever I was tested for German I'd go in front of my class to talk about the German writer we were studying about and pretend to be A. Hitler while giving a speech like in this Youtube here, no wonder my teacher of that time was pleased by my pronunciation and affirmative tone.....I was nonetheless than Hitler telling to my class about how correct H. Schiller was in his writings....

CONSCIENCE

Given that I only have time, mostly I spend my days thinking, praying, watching movies and researching the internet (where everything and its opposite can be found). Given that on my 7/25 post I reported what my philosopher friend Iacopo said of God and of its faith in relationship with conscience (very often mentioned by Iacopo) I thought to make a simple Google search of this term and I put here below (in links) what I found because while conscience is just another way to make reference to soul (inexistent for Iacopo) this situation parallels very well (in my broken mind) to Hawking saying that the verb hope is tied to the existence of a God.

Therefore I asked to Iacopo - who confidently sustains that we have no soul, it simply doesn't exist (according to him) why I can find so many websites (both in Italian and English) that even explain - with cultural references - that conscience is the same as the soul. Maybe it's too soon for me to post this because he might email me back tomorrow with a very logical proof that the conscience he mentions is very different from my "religious soul", but I couldn't refrain myself to write this and post it with few links in my support.

HALF LIGHT

This is another movie that I recommend watching over few beers with friends, Rachel Carlson, a successful novelist moves to a small Scottish village to move on with her life after the death of her son. Strange things start to happen when she is haunted by ghosts and real life terror. It seems to have become the new "story to talk about" what happens after we die, or that - as since the ancient times it was common to say - we just pass into another dimension that I can say with the confidence of someone who did experience and felt/saw it, is - very simply - the projection of what we experienced while living both in the bad times (hell) and the good (heaven) this is why in movies about this, those who see heaven and can come back to tell the story, say that in heaven everyone is young and good looking while being in their preferred place on earth, doing what was best liked.

As for those in hell, the opposite of what I just said applies, or you can just look at the Youtube clip I posted on 8/3 with the description of hell as given in the movie "the Lazarus effect" (worth 3 beers) I'm going to say even if nothing can change, but I'd love to be on the blue couch we bought together while watching this movie with my dearly beloved Michele, no matter what she's been doing of negative to me (I just found out).

YESTERDAY

This is the "key word" of my life, I was never patient enough (or had any ability) to wait for something I wanted (or I was just interested in) to happen, in fact, whenever someone would ask when I wanted to have something done or receive it, my simple reply was always yesterday and from here the joke that my dad always made of me saying that "I was born in a hurry" and I believe that this is yet another lesson I'm forced to learn from my accident with TBI, not only our own body cannot repair its organ brain, but neither anything else in this world has any idea on how to even begin this healing process (from this my desperate belief that with perispinal Enbrel our own body can be helped to repair its own brain by simply reducing the permanent inflammation after a TBI).

So, once again, no matter that I want to receive the Perispinal Enbrel (PE) yesterday, I'm forced to wait God only knows for how much longer before someone with long range views can have the FDA test and approve this PE for neurological recovery from TBI (unless Edward realizes that it isn't how much money one may have that opens the doors to heaven but simply how much help can be offered to others, regardless of personal monetary gain).

TIME TRAVEL

I hope that none of my readers may doubt when I'd travel if I could move to another time in my life but I'm sure that if this time travel was already possible I'm absolutely sure of what I'd say to the time-travelers present on my birth-date if asked about the day I was born, in fact even when I was just out of my dear mother belly I'd say yesterday because - as my father, Saint Gianfranco always said "I was born in a hurry" so that even when just out of my mother's body for few minutes I may have said that I had entered the living world a day earlier.

As result of my birth given impatience, I never was able to wait for anything to happen - simply because only the speed of light might be the right speed for something I want or care of to happen.

It's been known too that when something I wanted it to happen was taking too long (for me) to move forward, I was the one forcing it (or anything related) to happen.

Now, I realize that this explanation might be too convoluted or complex to clearly grasp, but I can confidently assure you that when seen in practice it isn't difficult at all to understand.

Too many are the examples I could talk about here, suffice me to say that from the time when I first put my eyes on Michele (mother of my treasures and former wife) to the day we were married in God's home in Italy, few weeks had gone by and I don't think that I need to say how much I made it happen and how fast to "create" the union that only God may want to undo.

OUR IMMORTALITY

I see that I made 147 posts here about philosophy, in reality though I could re-label them with the term religion, it's just that I believe that if I used that word I may scare some of my readers away - even if Hawking said that philosophy doesn't exist anymore, it's replaced by scientific research (or something like that), what I want to say here however is that much to my surprise real science - through quantum theories - has been confirming what every Catholic has been knowing (and believed in) for 2K years (or since Jesus Christ came on earth).

Without giving here a lesson of catechism I just post links to consistent websites and to a very long Youtube video, adding that since I know that both my treasures look at this blog they can learn from their true dad what their mother finds "unsettling" and never talks of it
