I have
email messages I had exchanged with several different people - of different
extractions – in my personal (home) PC
since the year 2003 and – while my PC techs kind of hate me for this – I’ve
become proud in some way to have been able to preserve and collect 15 years (to date) of messages that are now all safely
kept in my gmail account, no matter what my internet provider was.
Every once in
a while I look at very old emails in the oldest years of my collection and I
recently found several about California and me and family moving here with a
job (=income
source).
In the
90es when I was in DE working for Gore (& Assoc.) I was dreaming to be working for the same
employer in this State and in fact I had explored this possibility with some of
the Associates (=employees) who were working in this State,
however since my unique asset to be in DE was that I the one in full charge to
be the link between the Italian footwear manufacturers with their USA
distributors (mostly
based in the East Coast) I had no possibility to bring any advantage to my employer being in
CA.
Then at
Geox and Tecnica, being both Italian companies firmly located in the East of
this country (for
time difference and geographical distance reasons) I had put out my dream/idea to move the (fully owned) US subsidiary, clearly received by
total lack of interest.
It was
therefore a real “dream come true” when Deckers hired me as the president (title I had wanted for
several years…….I had grown tired to be just a vice-P.) of the TEVA brand in truly wonderful and very upscale Santa Barbara.
Well I think
that you now know how this story goes and this is the reason that makes me hate
this entire State now.
So much for
bringing back my Queen to the place where not only she was born and her family
lives, but where I first met her (Berkeley),
if on top of this I add to have been imprisoned under the full powers of two
losers conservators, divorced because cheated on by my Queen, lost my entire
family, my job and entire wealth built in a lifelong dedication to do my job
well, it’s certainly not surprising to know that I hate this part of the earth.
