I believe
to have watched this far in my life at least 500 movies about WWII, plenty of
which portray some hero in some very dangerous situation – planned by himself –
that ends the lives in some spectacular way of the enemies, who are whatever
the war is talking about, Italians, Greeks, partisans or whatever plenty else
did participate to the second world war.
My
astonishing discovery however is that those heroes, who I thought were true
heroes, who had very strong motivations to act in the ways seen in movies were all
just on drugs, so I did – as I always do – a little research on this
subject and not only I discovered that Hitler himself was a drug addicted and died just before his senseless use of drugs would surely kill him, but – to my
great surprise and astonishment – our US soldiers too did heavy drugs when
fighting in Vietnam.
Well, this
new information element completely removes my “admiration” for all the war
heroes in all the war movies I ever watched since I was a teenager.
As usual I
put few links and a couple of Youtubes for your entertainment, but I swear that
even with the simplest google search can give millions of links to websites on
this subject, therefore – as usual – consider this just a quick selection of
what can be quickly and easily found.
