The only woman I have ever loved - and forever will do - is
M. Lingiardi, the mother of our treasures (who lived half of this world away from
me) and she expressed to me in just one word the very reason why the movie
that's become my Bible that reveals the true unique nature of humankind the
permanence of our spirit (or soul) beyond death, she said that it's an unsettling movie.
I could write an entire book about what this simple word relates to the feelings of the spectators of this movie over the years.
I could write an entire book about what this simple word relates to the feelings of the spectators of this movie over the years.
I just want to say (besides putting here many consistent
links) that humanity has known of the existence of the soul and of the
afterlife for hundreds of thousands of years (maybe millions) and in fact,
every single faith and religion we have expresses the idea that there exist a
continuation of life also after we die.
Now, given that there isn't any scientific way to prove
this, our western culture has been simply refusing this idea, labeling it as unsettling but while philosophy has been trying to
deal with it, in some "scientific" way it's been only since very
little time that "true science" has studied this phenomena, now
labeled as NDE or Near Death Experience.
Too many people have had stories of leaving their own body
and seeing others (i.e. relatives or
friends) deceased already while being in a wonderful place with the same
features of what was experienced already while living here on earth.
Initially some neurologists or scientists of some kind
attempted to justify these experiences as the result of the brain not receiving
sufficient oxygenated blood, but now the research in this field has really
"turned the page" to the next chapter.
Like Morgan Freeman says in his PBS video, we humans may
become God ourselves, but if we could know when this will happen we would
already be God, it's in fact my understanding that God is the only one who can
see the future like we can see our past, as well as we can say what we did
yesterday, that well we could say what we'll do tomorrow, like an "afterward
memory".
If and when this will happen, I don't need to say how my
life would have been lived, no accident, no divorce, no losses of any kind
ever, but now I do what my dad told me he was doing shortly before passing
away, or that he was looking forward to his continued existence with curiosity,
mainly because absolutely convinced that we all have the soul, for having seen
it leaving the body of the many people (relatives and friends) when passing
over (die).
