?? JUVENILE COURT AGAIN??

I had posted this thought on 4/7 this year, but I feel it to be right to post it again, given that my new court session about the payments to my conservator are supposed to be approved by that court, so here it goes: http://lingiaca.blogspot.com/2015/04/juvenile.html
For the longest time I haven't been able to understand the reason why the court in charge to decide my life destiny is the juvenile court in Ventura and pretty much all of the other individuals present for the appointment of a conservator are minors who look very mentally retarded to me, but obviously have large amounts of money at their disposal and by assigning a conservator to those kids the court attempts to ensure that those "retarded kids" won't be able to totally waste their monetary funds before they become decent enough to understand the value of what they own, so that there won't be any risk for them wasting it all away.
My bare presence in that court has forced me to look into the conservatorship laws and become a supporter of the NASGA that helped me to understand that the lawyers who worked on these laws made it absolutely sure that they never could be trapped in their own "legislative creatures".
This also makes it more than clear and obvious that the members of that juvenile court are completely trapped in the confusion of applying such confusing and unfair laws, it goes without me saying that while I do respect those judges I completely understand that to decide that a former, successful company president of 51 years of age should never be put at the same level of minor kids who are so retarded that cannot even form an idea, nor express it in intelligible words.
Following the law to the letter this court assigned to me a defense attorney by the name of Mary, who immediately saw that I'm not even close to need to have a conservator and went so far to make the joke that my "conservator won the lottery ticket of her life" by being assigned to me as conservatee. Given that very surprisingly for me (an Italian born, Catholic by default) I had what's named today a NDE when I was told to have made an agreement to survive, against all the odds with Jesus Christ, I now can say with great confidence that since as we die we see our entire lives like in a documentary and our newly acquired universal intelligence gives the ability to pinpoint each and every time we hurt someone else to decide what kind of afterlife we are going to have in eternity, I do feel very sorry for quite a number of people who put me in this position of pain and humiliation, simply because I know (for personal and direct experience) that unless they correct their wrongs done to me and to my treasures while being alive, their eternal existence as souls will be spent in some "hellish" way, or place.

Given that I made an agreement with Jesus and I've always believed in His true existence, I'm very confident that Jesus will be at my side in my support when I'll be in court in few days and I can only be sorry for those who think that I'm a brain injured man who says this, however you will understand, experience and see when you'll die, sadly nobody still alive knows (unless you had a NDE, like me).

VERONA PIAZZA DANTE

Right beside piazza delle Erbe is my favorite square named and dedicated to my beloved poet Dante Alighieri, who wrote the Divine Comedy about what the soul goes through after death, what I find fascinating about his Comedy is that Dante said that it was the simple collection of the stories told by people on the streets at his time, the XIII sec. and it’s embraced by the Catholics and the Vatican as a reliable description of the after-death of people of all kinds.
For the history of this place, you have to start from the Scala family, the rulers of the Verona town-state bearing in mind, however, that in the square there were already the Municipal Palace and the Domus Nova. At the end of the XIII century, the square (which was then called Platea Domini vicarii), did not have today’s rectangular form; neither the palace that is now called the Palace of the Courts, nor the Palace of Government. The entire building would have been sold to the nobleman Galasso Pio da Carpi in 1408, but in 1490 it turned out to be the property of the House of Charity (in typical Italian style).
Perhaps it was during these years that the building was remodeled and the façade was transformed into the simple Renaissance style of today. On the face of the building there is a curious base relief with a seated woman who holds a flag in her hand, upon which it is written Fide et Charitate in aeternum non deficiam. The woman represents Verona resting safe in the shadow of the Serenissima Republic (Venice), protecting her.
Verona’s oldest Caffè is important, which hung out the sign “Dante” in 1863, following the erection of the monument to the poet in the square. The place was frequented by professionals, men of letters, artists and politicians, especially the elderly, who formed various “small parliaments”, discussing politics, art and above all criticizing everything, like all Italians since ever.
The Palace of the Council was not entirely completed, when it was decided to place a few statues on the arch at the top of via delle Fogge. The administration decided upon St. Zenone, protector of the city, and the task was given to this “magistro Angelo lapicida”. But things got complicated. Instead of St. Zenone, a statue of Girolamo Fracastoro was placed on the arch in 1559.
The great doctor, poet and astronomer is dressed in the Roman style and holds a sphere of he world in his hand. The sphere immediately struck the shrewd popular fantasy: Fracastoro would have dropped the sphere on the head of the first honorable man that walked under the arch. But the sphere is still there… In 1756, the statue of Scipione Maffei was placed on the arch facing via Barbaro.
1865 was the sixth centennial of the birth of Dante and Italy was about to solemnly commemorate the recurrence. As an initiative of the Academy of Agriculture and the Society of Fine Arts, to which the City Council adhered, it was decided to erect a statue of Dante in Piazza dei Signori, where the Scala Palace that had hosted the “Ghibellin fuggiasco”.
On 6th October 1863 a call for tender was emanated for the design of the statue. The only conditions were that the second quality Carrara marble be suitable for a height of three meters, supported by a pedestal and that the figure, which would turn its back to via delle Fogge, have its head turned slightly towards the left, or namely towards Scala Palace of the Courts.
It was then stated that the Poet must have been turned towards free Italy. The winner of the tender was a young, entirely unknown artist, Ugo Zannoni.
The statue was uncovered on 14 May 1865, in the early morning. It was not desired that the Austrian authorities intervene in the inaugural ceremony.

Not much later the Austrians were sent back to their home country and the rest can be read on history books that talk about the conquest of independence for Italy and WWII, so I’m not going to continue on this.

BEST OF THE DAY

Few days ago I discovered that there's a Ralphs grocery store not far from where I'm now living alone, I went there to buy something to snack on with much proteins and drinks that I like to have on my desk all day long.
Much to my pleased surprise they carry a soda drink completely Italian, the San Pellegrino blood orange soda that I pretty much grew up drinking it.
The hilarious part of my grocery shopping is that as I was at the cash register to pay for my shopping, the cashier noticed (as always) my different accent and asked me where I'm from (certainly not from Mars) and as I told that I'm Italian he made a big smile saying: "ha that's why you like to drink this shit" I must say that I found it impossible not to start laughing very loud and while my mouth was wide open for my laughing I managed to say: "I grew up drinking this shit because I can swallow it just like it's water and as it goes in my stomach it refreshes my mouth even if it isn't cold from a fridge". This shit has been making my day not only yesterday, but today too and I believe it's very probably going to make my week and month too.

This brings me to say that my former Ventura caregiver was correct when she was telling me that there are people in much worse conditions than mine and that I should be grateful to still be alive, this also connects perfectly to what my idol Richard Hawking often says: "as long as there's life, there's hope" and if I think of how his life has been since he was very young, I'm confirmed that God truly exists, how could he live and make his amazing research in those conditions if God hasn't chosen him to have the great brain he has?

EARNING A Ph. D.

My dad - Saint Gianfranco - always told me that the importance of a Ph. D. is only in the title itself ("piece of paper" he named it) because someone is either born with it or it doesn't matter how much or for how long studies are done, a Ph. D. will never be earned. Of course I was born with my Ph. D. already, so it didn't really matter in what subject I received it, it only mattered for the opportunities I could have opened for my work career and since - even if forever in love with advanced analysis in math - I chose international economics, as the "piece of paper" framed in 1989, hanging on the wall of every studio I ever had, shows.
Aside from the fact that I know of several Ph. D. professionals who surely weren't born with it and use this title just as a crown on their heads, I'm now thinking that there's another title that gives almost equal earning opportunities to a Ph. D. and doesn't require the many years of studies at expensive schools.
That's the conservatorship, that barely requires a high school diploma and can be transferred from a parent to his/her child like a heritage, no backbreaking years of studies in surely expensive universities far from home.
I'm therefore sorry that my children won't inherit my title, but since my Ph. D. gave to me the opportunity to live and work across the continents, I'm going to be very proud when they both will have earned their own "piece of paper" that I can already see they both have.
I'm actually dreaming that they will eventually go to some university in my mother country (Italy) where education is still not test-based like it's been here for way too long (or you don't receive your Ph. D. just because you learned how to answer right to several A or B questionnaires, the subjects you studied became part of your way of thinking, of yourself and you can talk about them in front of an audience like you talk about what you just had for breakfast).
Even if I can't see nor talk with my treasures close to what I'd consider to be sufficient for a true dad, I can already say what their Ph. D. is going to be in and they can count on my support here too.

MY BRAIN

OK so this is the best (and funniest) lesson about the functions of the human brain, maybe given that mine is injured I cannot do what this video says a brain can do, whom shall I dedicate this lesson to?

MY MIRACLES AND NEUROPSYCHOLOGY

In March, April and June of last year I posted about what I believe the miracles that I received for my TBI.
I've said here plenty times already that a miracle is simply what no science can explain (yet) but I feel it important to list them here anyway, to save the search of those posts:
  1. as I came out of my 2 months long coma I told to both my father (Saint Gianfranco) and best work friend (Pat) that I was still alive for having made an agreement with Jesus Christ to remain alive - no matter the pain - for my love for my children/treasures
  2. my mother cannot stop telling to me that the fact that I could fluently speak both Italian and English, just like before my accident is a true miracle
  3. none of the Cottage hospitals neurologists ever understood the reason why the  hemiparesis on my left body side hasn't taken away any epidermal sensation , to the point that for several months I had a nurse come in my room in the middle of the night to touch my left foot/leg and ask me where I was being touched, if fingers were being used to touch me, or the entire hand and how it felt to me
What I can only call a damnation (opposite of miracle) is that the unique way my brain is injured resulted in a very unreal assessment of the use of my brain's abilities in the use (management) of my money, my logic and ability to think of business issues through the constant relationship with both former important sales operations and my former employees (who still contact me with business related questions they have in their working activities) By making a very simple Google search on this topic, I put here below - as usual - few links to websites that talk about the helpfulness and potential harm that can result from neuropsychological assessment.
