Mindfulness
is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment,
while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily
sensations, used as a therapeutic technique. Or in more simple terms, it’s the
quality or state of being conscious and aware of something. I must admit to be
completely fascinated by the impact on people living today when they are
exposed to such a different way to consider what surrounds us. Once again, this
movie is going to be filed in the same folder that contains all the “Quantum bleep” movies and it’ll be played and re-played
dozens of times in my great desktop, I intend to make it interesting for my
treasures to watch (and understand)
with me, because – even if my brain is injured (they say…..) – the beginning of this 2nd
millennium are dramatically changing people’s approach to reality.
The very
reason why I love to become increasingly knowledgeable of the powers and
capacities of our (human) brain
is because it fully demonstrates the existence of a creator, who or what could
possibly have we evolved from?
With “mindful
awareness” the flow of energy and information that’s our mind enters our
conscious attention and we can both appreciate its contents and come to
regulate its flow in a new way. Mindful
awareness actually involves more than just simply being aware; It involves
being aware of aspects of the mind itself.
Instead of being on automatic and mindless, mindfulness helps to awaken,
and by reflecting on the mind we are enabled to make choices and thus change
becomes possible. I truly cannot explain how fascinated I’ve become of these
new ways to approach and understand our reality and – as a dad – I’ve made it
my purpose to guide my treasures to this new approach to life.
