SEABISCUIT

I give to this movie – even if somehow historical – 3 gallons of good dark beer and the invite to watch it in company of good friends, it’s in fact the story of a very famous race horse who competed and won plenty races during the time of the great depression in our country and gave hopes that our wealth could return available to all who would work hard for it.
One quote that still sticks in my mind is when the rider – later badly injured to the point to be told that he could never ride a horse again – says that a roman emperor said once that Rome was built "brick after brick " and this made me think to my eternal impatience for something to happen every time I want something of any kind.
In other words this movie gives a very good explanation of the American attitude about the fact that "nothing is impossible if you really want it and you are willing to work hard for it" that’s the very reason that's created the power of the USA in every field it has wanted to be in.
To me this explains too the reason why our country has fallen – again – in a depression of financial nature, because of the lack of any regulation in the financial markets, where everyone could become super-wealthy just by showing up, pretty much.
Aside from the teaching message of this movie, there are great horse-riding scenes and deep moments of human to animal (horse) relationship and connection/understanding.
In other words this movie has my advice to be watched not only for the reasons I just listed, but very much also because it gives a perfect picture of my life since my debilitating accident, that only with my hard work will be fully overcome, given that the impossible simply doesn’t exist.
