Fairly close to the prison where Michele and Anna imprisoned me too long ago, there is the famous and renowned Sansum clinic with
plenty physicians proud to be connected with its celebrity.
Given that my accident damaged the Occipital lobe in my
brain (besides the motor cortex) I have the so-called field cut in my vision
that basically makes it impossible for me to see, or even guess that there
might be something on the left side of what I’m looking at, I've been working
since years with Dr. Garbus, whom I call “my genius optician”.
I was introduced to him by the Solutions organization near Santa Barbara that is
fully dedicated to rehab from TBI since years and has among the best therapists.
Dr. Garbus made a map of what I can see and worked on my
sight using prisms inserted in the lenses of my glasses and I went from
thinking that everybody in this area of California only had the right eye on
the face, to the ability not only to see both eyes on everybody’s face but also
to go around straight in my wheelchair, in fact I remember well always crashing
on the left wall in any corridor I had to go through in the beginning.
Given that, glasses – especially when used every day –
follow the entropy law, or don’t last forever when I felt that mine were too
scratched in the lenses and the frame wasn't fully right for me, I decided to
wheel myself to the important Sansum clinic so close to me, and here’s what
happened:
- I had a first visit with dr. Silverberg who made me dream that with Lasik surgery I could forever get rid of the need of wearing glasses because there are new techniques that can insert prisms directly inside the eyes
- My sight was never measured by the optician himself, but some young girls who are assistants and measured that my myopia had increased very much since when it was measured by dr. Garbus
- I only saw this optician at this very first visit and when I later went to see the Lasik specialist (dr. Katsev) I learned that it’s still impossible to insert prisms in the eyes and that Silverberg was talking about science fiction
- Every time I went back there, I only saw the assistants of Silverberg who just measured the lenses of my current glasses and once even called directly Dr. Garbus to have the correct prescription.
- I then went 4 times to have new lenses to the nearby optical store that to save money (I was told) never got the prisms right given that the prescription was literally made up by assistants.
Out of complete frustration, I ended up going by car to Valencia
at the store of Dr. Garbus who proved to me to be a real genius since he had
made my glasses several years ago with the right correction for myopia and
prisms position.
When I add this total failure in the optical area of the
Sansum to the complete inability to even understand by any of the MD connected
to it about the benefits of doing the perispinal Enbrel for neurological
recovery, I can only advise anyone who reads my blog to stay away from the
Sansum clinic and any of the doctors who claim to have any connection with it,
it’s best to save your money and to find another optician genius like Dr.
Garbus who made glasses with the right correction several years before I
actually needed them.
Here’s Dr. Garbus
website
And I wouldn't be right if I wouldn't add links proving that perispinal Enbrel helps to repair the occipital lobe (vision)
