BETTER TO BE SAFE, THAN SORRY

I just did yet another neuropsychological evaluation with a doctor recommended by my court appointed defense attorney, this is a doctor of superlative experience and knowledge who works since several years at the Semel institute of UCLA, has been involved in the legislative process that concerns the testing of people with bran injury and the appointment of conservators.

Regardless of the fact that his analysis of me and mental/logic capacities turned out to be a personal success that is going to free me up of my temporary conservator, he said something commenting my previous evaluation that I can’t let go out of my mind, in fact he said that my previous neuropsychologist used as his guideline the “better be safe, than sorry” approach/attitude.

If this wasn’t used as sole term of reference by the judge deciding on my case and life, I wouldn’t have anything to say nor complain about, but since this “safe” assessment was used as the sole source to decide to be appointed a sorry conservator who could easily be my daughter, who to follow the law to the letter has made it impossible to me to even look at my money in my (now inexistent) bank and savings accounts, has cancelled my credit cards that I used to have for decades without a blemish, has cancelled my only way to spend my lonely days, called Netflix account and I fear that by stopping the payments to my life insurance policy whose only beneficiaries are my treasures.

In simple words the one “simple” assessment combined with a judge who clearly can’t see farther than his nose, both have destroyed my life as I had worked to build it for 50 years?

Any suggestion about who I should give my thanks to for this catastrophe is both very welcome and expected.

ABOUT MATH AND THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

I wrote already here on Feb 6th, 2013 about the neuropsychological attitude towards a God and its existence, but since I also recently advised to one of those Losers to learn about Pascal Wager.

I decided to make his mathematical approach to the demonstration to the existence of God more known – at least for those who read my blog here.

Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) was a 17th century French mathematician and scientist who, sadly, died at the age of 39 in a vehicle accident. He is considered to be the father of modern probability theory. He created the first calculating machine, invented the syringe, developed the hydraulic press, and refined the barometer for measuring atmospheric pressure.

I’m going to try here to explain his logic with very simple math:

1=we believe in God + 0= God doesn’t exist = 1, we had a good life anyway

1=we believe in God + 1= God is real = 2, we go to heaven after death

-1= we don’t believe in any God + 1=God is real = 0 or hell/eternal oblivion

-1= we don’t believe in any God + 0= God doesn’t exist = -1 = sure eternal hell

Since my brain is injured I’m not sure to have explained and simplified correctly the theory of Pascal, but you can look at the links posted here below to check for yourself.

Can also anyone explain to Michele that 1Carlo + 1Michele = 2Heaven, please?

DEAR DAD

Dear Dad I want to tell you that as well I've always wanted, you taught me something that I did not know at all, and that is that the love of a father for his children is not different from the one that has the mother, I in My brain always looking for reasons and explanations for everything I had imagined that the love of a mother was stronger than that of a father because children are raised and trained within the body of a woman and a man can not do it, so I thought that this training would combine in a unique way the mother with the children, but now that I've seen and thought of everything that you have always done for me I also understand that my love for my children is not different or lower than that have their mother and really I'm alive and I continue to suffer like a dog just for the sake that I want for my children.

You told me that I had talked with Jesus and decided that I wanted to come back here to live, even though he had told me that I had pain, and in fact the pain for too many years that I can not even deal with the drug morphine, is a deep pain for something that can not be changed even by force, because it is done by the person that I had chosen as the mother of my children, who now call my treasures.

When my phone rings in the morning I waited for months that he or mom or Anna who tell me that you're not with us anymore, but I also want to tell you that your speech you did to me in Verona the last time we having regard to the existence of the soul gave me huge hopes and has caused me great curiosity.

I believe you when you tell me that the soul exists, if you think that Einstein called the immortality and omnipresence of energy - including electricity - and you put together that our brain to function produces shock of micro electricity that you can not be sure that every man is energy, and as such continues to exist even after the physical death of the body that contains it.

I had great pleasure that you have told me that because of the existence of the soul are you sure you're not afraid of death hence I was much less sad or scared of your death because - as I've always said it - death is the best thing out there - it happens to everyone, kings, popes and billionaires and represents a kind of liberation from a physical body which now no longer able to do what is necessary to have a decent life and without pain.

I want to conclude by telling you that as you told me that I have made you proud as a father, I have always been proud to be your son and I hope that your soul (or energy) can manifest with me to fix my traumatized brain.

ENBREL REPURPOSING

I put here a video that explains how everything in this world is always and only driven by money and makes it very clear what I wrote before using the term of “crass capitalism” that explains why only president Obama, or God can make right what an intelligent and lucky doctor discovered by accident.

DANTE A. AND MY 50th BIRTHDAY

MIDWAY upon the journey of our life

I found myself within a forest dark,

For the straightforward pathway had been lost.

Ah me! How hard a thing it is to say

What was this forest savage, rough, and stern?

Which in the very thought renews the fear.

This is the way my most beloved Italian poet/writer started the narration of his trip through the afterworld and he did such a great job – even if he always claimed to have just written down stories and fables from the street peasants – that the Italian language he had used to write his “comedy” became the very Italian language still spoken today in my mother country and forms its grammar and literary rules still today, or about 700 years later.

What Dante meant by saying “midway upon the journey of life” used to mean to be about in your 40ies because that’s how long people were living in the XIII century, but with the improvement of both the living conditions and of the guess-science that “midway” has moved to 50 or my age today.

I can also say for direct experience that the after death does really exist, because when I came out of the coma I’m told that I immediately recounted having made an agreement with God’s son, Jesus whom I asked to come back to living earth for the love I have for my treasures/children – even if I was told that it would be painful – I find it funny that I had imagined that nothing couldn’t be taken care by taking some Tylenol, I do know now that my pain can’t be reduced even by taking morphine, I always have it an no guess-scientist has any idea on how to at least reduce it.

However what counts is that even if I’m in atrocious pain all the time, not a minute doesn’t go by without me thanking God to be here to see my children and take care of them, even if I’m limited in doing this by their mother, who chose to live with my doctor in a nearby town.

Now that I’m back here for about 50 more years it’s my duty to prove to the world with my example that a medication exists that by reducing the neuroinflammation, plasticity can start again to re-wire our brain when injured, so that we can put an end to what I call the epidemic of this new millennium and allow experienced professionals to rejoin the wealth producing machine of the (still) leading country in this world, U.S.A.

I know that regardless the ignorance, skepticism and even fear of those who have power on me I’ll receive the help of God in my crusade to fully recover and plenty other people will recover from their “impossible injury to heal”.

As I wrote here before do not pray for me and for this to become reality, simply concentrate and focus your thoughts on what you wish and this miracle will happen.

Good thoughts to everyone who reads me here!

GOD, GRAVITY AND EINSTEIN

For as long as we've been around (roughly 5800 years), we've been asking the question: what is God? Now, I'm fairly confident in what I can say what God is not. God is not a dude in the sky with a white beard and a robe. God is not constantly watching and judging us, putting us in a book under the naughty or nice lists.
What I do feel that I know is that God is something that the human mind is incapable of comprehending. God is something beyond this plane of existence but peeking through into perceivable space.

God is gravity. We are God. The planet Earth is God. The same way that all of our cells somehow manage to work together and make us live, by some bizarre bit of chance, us being heard makes God "live". But just as those cells don't know how the whole body functions, we don't know how the universe works. The mysteries of the universe: dark matter, black holes, gravity; these are the very definition of mystical forces.

Gravity is the force that binds everything together in the universe. Without gravity the galaxy doesn't stay together, the earth doesn’t orbit around the sun, and we don't stay on Earth. Beyond this, gravity is at once the most simple of forces and the most complicated. It's easy to understand that an object falls to earth but understand the why, that's where we find God.

To completely understand the ins and outs of how the universe functions is such a lofty goal the comparison to understanding God is inevitable. Even if we understand every bit of gravity, where did the design come from? Why should the universe work that way? Why should we need air to live, or be limited to our small plot of dirt and water? It takes an amazing type of person to even begin to answer those questions. Perhaps even… a prophet.
I know, now I must sound crazy. A physics prophet but hold on, there's room for them in my crazy theory. I'm not talking about Moses or Elijah. No, the prophets as I see it are people like Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein.
Every animal on earth understands on some level that when you drop an object it falls to earth. It's when man was able to think and ask the question why that we began to approach God. It was when the answers to questions like that were discovered that God was showing Itself to people.

Now don't think that this is some Contact thing where God's going to show up as your deceased father. The way these "prophets" see God is that their mind takes a step forward in evolution. The mind of someone like Newton or Einstein has opened up to a new level of consciousness and seen a piece of the how the universe works in a way that no person had been able to see before.
Einstein is the best example. Until him, we understood the how’s of gravity. All objects have a gravitational pull, the bigger or denser the object is the more gravity it has. But why? Why should an object pull other things toward it, just because it's larger and denser? Einstein saw why, in short it was his theory of space-time curvature. I won't get into describing it here except to say that it's like throwing a ball onto a sheet that has a weight in the center. The object goes towards the ball because the weight has created a well that the ball falls towards. (Wikipedia has a pretty nice entry on space-time for scientist wannabes).

Einstein was the first to be able to see into this piece of the universe; this piece of God. Then, like a prophet does, he shared what he had learned with the rest of humanity, translating God into something we can comprehend. Compare it to the idea of Moses, translating the word of God into the Torah and the Ten Commandments. He translated God into morals that the Jewish people could understand.

That brings me to a final point. I'm Catholic. I don't consider myself an atheist or even an agnostic. Can I do this? I don't know. It's a bit of a crisis of faith for me honestly, but more so I believe in the morals I was raised on. The way I was raised, especially regarding religion, taught me to question everything and explore any theory, any possibility. My thinking and philosophizing brought me to this conclusion and I think that at the end of the day that’s what religion should preach above all us: question what you're told.

On researching to make this post I found a quote by Carl Sagan:

"The idea that God is an oversized white male with a flowing beard who sits in the sky and tallies the fall of every sparrow is ludicrous. But if by God one means the set of physical laws that govern the universe, then clearly there is such a God. This God is emotionally unsatisfying... it does not make much sense to pray to the law of gravity."
True, it's not fun to worship gravity itself. The laws of physics are significantly less dramatic than the laws of the Judeo-Christian God. More than that though, a God that doesn't preside over us means that our lives are in our own hands and that is somewhat scary.
Sure, physics won't help us in a time of need and it won't smite wrongdoers, but what I don't agree with Mr. Sagan about is that this version of God is "emotionally unsatisfying". After all, what could be more magical than something completely unknown? In Italian we have been saying for centuries when someone dies that :”passed to a better living” and while I don’t know where this saying comes from or what its reason might be, the last time I saw my dad he convinced me of the existence of the soul in every human being for having witnessed it leaving the body at death and putting this concept with the infinity of energy demonstrated by Einstein I now believe that there certainly is something after death and I choose to believe that after we abandon our body old, sick or broken we (our souls) rejoin those of others we knew or loved while living in some other type of dimension created by the human mind, or the cumulative intelligence and living experience under the influence of gravity, or God.
