This is a picture of my great-grandfather Ernesto who died for cancer in his mouth because he insisted till death that he was giving a “human tone/voice” to the organs he was building and went in dozens of churches in Northern Italy.
This explains that my belief that TBI can be recovered is genetically determined, so maybe I’ll die still disabled but there’s no way that I may be convinced that my brain can’t be “fixed”.
Ernesto here is just one of the several examples of the determined confidence that’s been part of the Lingiardi for so many years, my grandfather in example in WWII walked 1,000 miles from Northern Germany back home in Brescia to hug his wife and be father again.
